Attach the tube system, place a bag on the bag holder and adjust the scale to zero. Pour an arbitrary quantity of the test sample in the bag and press the start key.

The final weight, calculated using the pre-set factor, will be shown on the display under the weight of the test sample. The metering arm will rotate automatically to a position over the bag holder, after which the dilution process will be started.

The pump will dispense the bulk of the liquid at high speed, followed by a fine metering at low speed and finally will dispense drops until the precise final weight is reached. Before the metering arm returns automatically, the drop still suspended at the end of the tube will be sucked back into the tube so that it will not be thrown off by the movement of the metering arm.

The weight of the product on the weighing pan must agree with the calculated final weight. If the difference is greater than 1% of the sample weight, the weight displayed for the product in the weighing pan will flash to attract attention. (self-diagnosis)

Remove the bag from the weighing pan and the DILUMATIC M2 will be ready for the following dilution.

Scanning and PC-data logging are optional.
After activating the DILUMATIC-M2 and connecting the correct liquids, up to a maximum of 5, these must be scanned so that the DILUMATIC-M2 can assess which liquid is connected to which pump (the number of pumps is optional).  The DILUMATIC-M2 will then request that you activate your personal pin code so that the user can be known.  The DILUMATIC-M2 is now ready for use.

Scan the sample number and the operation method (dilution liquid, dilution factor and the minimum and maximum sample weight). The DILUMATIC-M2 now automatically activates the correct pump and parameters. Press the start button and from here the process continues as in the previous description. At the end of each dilution all data will be filed and stored in a connected PC (date/time, pin code, sample number, dilution liquid, bottle number, min. weight, starting weight, dilution factor, end weight and the calculated final weight).
